Jen Cross is a widely-published freelance writer, LGBT activist, performance artist, and facilitator of writing workshops.

Cross received her MA in Transformative Language Arts at Goddard College, where she studied and wrote about the ways in which erotic writing can be used as a tool for sexual- and self-healing.

Upcoming Show: 9/9/2010 2:00 PM PST (Please Check For Your Local Time Zone)

In This Episode of Lesbian Relationships Podcast w/JiandaMonique: Enjoy A Chat With Dewberries Owner and Entrepreneur, Jacquelyn Kennedy.

Dewberries Boutique and Lounge is hot! Everyone from Marquita Thomas, to SheWired, to Cherry Bomb, to Curve Magazine’s got the fever…and the only prescription? More shopping in this cute FWBY (for women, by women), lesbian-owned boutique, and it just keeps getting better.

Jacquelyn Kennedy, Owner and Developer of the Dewberries lifestyle brand, lounge, and boutique, is a one woman-show.

Still, Kennedy’s Dewberries queendom brings with it a sense of community: Kennedy’s supportive partner, uber-funny Latina Diva of Comedy Sandra Valls, generously shines the spotlight on Kennedy’s boutique-lounge, nonprofit activism, nurturing community parties and empowering workshops, and in-the-pocket coolness of the Dewberries brand. From all accounts, the Dewberries crew is unstoppable!

From Kennedy’s website, LuvThatDewBerries.com:

You need only a few moments in her presence to learn she’s a woman set on constant self discovery. A twisted blend of Radiance, Energy, Confidence and Sass, She’s an Intelligent Bombshell! Jacquelyn began her success diving into the pool of entrepreneurship.

Recognizing the beauty in fashion, cultural diversity, self affirmation and empowering all women has been at the forefront of Jacquelyn’s career.

Music Review: Kitty Gordon

Here, Kitty Kitty: Kitty Gordon Rocks the Cuteness

Reviewer: Jianda

Artist: Kitty Gordon – www.myspace.com/wearekittygordon
Release Title:Seven

Indie artists never cease to delight and enlighten me! First off, Kitty Gordon’s name was taken from a friend’s “porn star name” formula. The game varies, but, you know it: you take the name of your childhood pet and the street you grew up on–add a middle name for “flava,” perhaps?

That said, Kitty Gordon’s all about flash and cheek. Spark and spunkiness. This is extremely hummable, lyrical work with cymbals that shimmer, songwriting that asks more questions than answering them, and roller coasters of sound FX and impassioned instrumentation.

Enuff” and “Somebody Beautiful” pull you in with groovy, luscious pop hooks, then vocalist Nina Singh waxes pensive and studious with cuts like “House of Broken Chairs” and “Invisible Friend.”

What do they play? “Anything they can get their hands on,” so they say. Horns, harmonies, pianissimo pianos that go forte, fuzzboxes….

“Playing,” mind you, is the operative word here. It’s no masquerade: This is fun, yummy pop music–with substance.

Support your local struggling artist. “Seven” is available for you to collect and love, so feel free! Meanwhile, visit the Kitty Gordon station, and go (press) play!

Kitty Gordon

Jianda’s porn star name’d be: Simba Van Buren…and yours?
